What I do is:

Counseling is a collaborative and reflective process built around conversation. It creates a supportive environment where you can speak openly without fear of criticism or judgement. In that space, you’re invited to slow down, reflect, and explore what’s happening in your inner and outer world.
Some people begin counseling with a clear focus such as ongoing stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, or a major life transition. Others arrive with a quieter, less defined sense that something doesn’t feel quite right, even if they can’t yet put it into words.
Rather than offering quick fixes, counseling helps you develop clarity and understanding. Over time, you may:
deepen your awareness of your values, needs, and identity
untangle complex or overwhelming emotions
recognise patterns that keep repeating in your relationships or choices
build emotional steadiness and confidence in coping
consider changes that feel authentic and sustainable
Psychological Counselor’s Role
A psychological counselor’s role is not to give advice or tell you what decisions to make. Instead, they offer skilled, professional support to help you reflect on your experiences from new perspectives. They work alongside you and encourage insight and growth. If additional or specialised care is needed, they will guide you toward appropriate services.

The services of Psychological Counseling Hub do not involve any diagnosis or treatment or therapy. Psychological Counseling Hub consciously chooses not to provide care to clients:
Who look for a diagnosis,
With a (potential) clinical diagnosis and treatment needs,
With a need for (very) intensive personal guidance that goes further than the regular guidance available,
Severe cases (e.g., oppositional defiant disorder, severe aggression problems, psychoses, personality disorders),
Who exhibit(ed) suicidal behavior (including passive suicidal ideation),
With current (soft) drug and/or alcohol addiction,
With sensory impairments such as visual and hearing limitations,
With serious psychiatric problems, which for example require a closed admission,
Special needs (e.g., intellectual disabilities),
With eating disorders,
Major depression.
Clients to whom care cannot be provided on the basis of these exclusion criteria will be informed about this. Together an alternative will be looked for.

Coaching is a structured, forward-looking process that supports you in clarifying goals and taking intentional steps toward change. It focuses on growth, direction, and practical action in your present and future life.
While counseling often creates space to explore emotional experience in depth, coaching centers more explicitly on identifying where you want to go and how to get there. The emphasis is on momentum, strategy, and accountability.
You might choose coaching if you want to:
define a clear personal or professional direction
strengthen confidence in decision-making
improve performance or leadership skills
navigate a transition with focus and structure
develop new habits or ways of working
feel more aligned with your values in your daily life
Coaching works from the assumption that you are capable and resourceful. Even when you feel uncertain or stuck, the process is designed to help you access clarity and take meaningful action.
The Coach’s Role
A coach does not provide therapy or work with psychological distress in a clinical way. Instead, they facilitate reflection, offer structured frameworks, and help you translate insight into concrete steps. The relationship is collaborative and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on accountability and progress.
If emotional or psychological support beyond the scope of coaching becomes necessary, a coach will encourage you to seek appropriate therapeutic care.

You can use your personal or professional development budget from work for coaching sessions.
In some cases, reimbursement (full or in part) is possible from your employer. A deduction might also be possible for ZZP’ers. Additionally, international insurance companies tend to offer coverage, unlike Dutch insurance companies.
